It is run by Stuart Ralston and partner Jade Johnston, and serves a mixture of small plates, pasta dishes, and Italian-inspired mains, alongside cocktails and wines. The menu is designed around sharing, featuring in-house made pasta, cured meats, and cheeses, as well as their own signature soft serve. The restaurant's interior is designed with simplicity in mind; the venue is flooded with natural light, and the neutral tones create a cosy vibe.
Tipo celebrates dining to share, offering a mixture of small and large plates that highlight the best of local and artisan Scottish produce.
