Something elsie
Something Elsie is a vibrant vintage clothing boutique nestled in the heart of Wapping Wharf, Bristol. Founded by Kate Seymour in 2013, the shop offers a carefully curated collection of high-quality 80s and 90s fashion, including dresses, skirts, patterned shirts, vintage denim, and bold jackets. With an eye for colourful and bold prints, Something Elsie provides pieces suitable for various occasions, from everyday wear to special events. The boutique also offers a fun and affordable shopping experience, serving as a sustainable alternative to fast fashion.
Located on Museum Street, Something Elsie is part of Bristol's thriving harbourside community. The shop's name pays homage to Kate's daughter, Elsie, who was just two years old when the business began. Before settling in its current location, the boutique operated as a pop-up shop on North Street and participated in the Tobacco Factory Market. Kate's passion for vintage fashion was inspired by her grandmother's wardrobe, and she continues to source unique pieces that bring joy to her customers. In addition to clothing, the shop now offers candles, bags, and other gifting options, maintaining its commitment to quality and sustainability .
I’ve always just wanted to do something that brings a bit of joy, and to create something that I would like as a customer myself to come into.
