Lupe
Lupe Bar, nestled at North Street in Bedminster, is a fresh and dynamic addition to Bristol’s bar scene. Taking over the space once occupied by the much-loved Old Bookshop, Lupe has reimagined the venue while keeping its cozy charm alive. The name "Lupe" is a clever nod to both the Latin word for hops (lupulus) and wolf (lupus), capturing the spirit of bold craft brews and good company. With its warm, layered interior and an inviting outdoor setup, Lupe has quickly become a go-to for locals and visitors alike.
On tap, you’ll find a rotating cast of cask ales, craft beers, and real ciders, alongside a thoughtful selection of Belgian and German bottles. Lupe isn’t just about what’s poured—it’s also about what’s plated. Their kitchen is home to Eatchu, a Bristol street food staple known for Japanese-inspired comfort food like gyoza and crispy karaage. Whether you’re stopping in for a quiet pint or a full-on evening of food and conversation, Lupe serves it up with style and soul.
We built Lupe to feel like the kind of bar we’d want to drink in—welcoming, interesting, and always evolving.
