The Dancing Goat
Back in 2009, I opened The Dancing Goat with nothing more than a love for great coffee and a belief that a café should feel like home. What started as a small venture has grown into something much bigger than I ever imagined — a place where locals, visitors, and friends come together over proper coffee, good food, and conversation. For me, it’s never been just about serving drinks; it’s about creating a community space where people feel welcome the moment they step inside.
Over the years, we’ve poured our energy into making The Dancing Goat more than a café. From sourcing beans we’re proud of to expanding with Goat2 in Wareham, every step has been about staying true to our roots: passion, quality, and connection. The heart of what we do is still the same — serving people with care, bringing them together, and making sure every cup has a story behind it.

About
Ashley Cross
The Cross, as it’s known to the locals, is located in close proximity to Bournemouth and Poole; it’s a bustling little area a short drive from the glorious surrounding beaches. Art galleries, boutiques and coffee shops are a pleasure to browse around on a lazy afternoon, for locals and visitors alike.
The green is an integral part of the community and showcases events such as ‘Party in the Park’ a mini festival of music supporting the local bars and businesses. The village is also home to a lively nightlife boasting great restaurants and bars, where everybody knows your name.
