Chinese Laundry Clothing
We’re Chinese Laundry — an independent vintage boutique born in Hull back in 2004. Over the years, we've grown into something more than just second-hand rails: we handpick vintage clothing, rework classic pieces, and design our own originals in collaboration with local artists. Our aim is to help you build a wardrobe that’s true to who you are, with quality, character, and creativity at the heart of everything we do.
We’re proud to offer both an online shop and three physical stores (in Hull, York and Leeds), so whether you’re browsing in-store or clicking through our tees, sweats, bags and beanies online, you'll find pieces that feel personal and timeless — never mass-produced.
We started with vintage because every item has a story — now we blend that story with fresh ideas to give you something that’s truly yours.

About
Hull Marina & Fruit Market
Hull
Once the heart of Hull’s wholesale fruit and veg trade, the Fruit Market has reinvented itself as one of the city’s most exciting cultural quarters. Humber Street’s cobbles now host cutting-edge galleries, craft beer bars, boutique shops, and some of Hull’s best-loved restaurants, all buzzing with independent creativity.
Here, the city’s industrial past meets a fresh wave of makers, artists, and entrepreneurs. Whether you’re catching a gig, browsing local art, sipping cocktails under festoon lights, or discovering handcrafted fashion, the Fruit Market is where Hull’s indie energy comes alive—and where every visit feels like a celebration of community.
Hull has always done things its own way. Once England’s busiest port and a city that stood proudly apart during the Civil War, its spirit of independence runs deep. From the cobbled lanes of the Old Town to the vast Humber estuary, Hull’s story is one of resilience, reinvention, and community.
Today, that spirit shines through a city alive with culture and creativity. Its thriving independent food and drink scene, world-class museums, and vibrant festivals sit alongside a proud sporting tradition and a warm, down-to-earth welcome. Hull is a place shaped by its history but looking firmly to the future — a city with soul, grit, and something unique around every corner.
