Bristol Lido
Bristol Lido, set in a beautifully restored Edwardian bathhouse on Oakfield Place in Clifton, offers a unique blend of heritage and modern leisure. Originally opening in the 1850s as a public swimming pool, it lay derelict for decades before being brought back to life in the early 2000s. Today, the Lido encompasses a heated outdoor pool, a calming indoor pool, a sauna, steam room, and hot tub—all housed beneath the original vaulted ceilings—alongside a restaurant and poolside bar serving Mediterranean-inspired small plates and cocktails .
More than just a place to swim, Bristol Lido is a social hub where guests can relax, dine, and reconnect. Whether you’re sipping a cool cucumber cooler by the terrace, indulging in a spa treatment, or savouring a leisurely breakfast al fresco, every visit is designed to feel both nostalgic and indulgent. The friendly team pride themselves on making every guest feel at home in this historic setting, ensuring the Lido remains a cherished Bristol retreat.
We’ve worked our magic to restore this lido to its former glory, giving it back to the community to enjoy.
